Empty legs (deadheads) are repositioning flights sold at a discount. They are real, but fragile.
Rules of thumb
- Be flexible on time (± a few hours) and sometimes nearby airports.
- Have a full-charter backup if the empty leg disappears.
- Confirm baggage and pet rules — empty-leg cabins vary.
